During a course of 9 days, the Dai al Mutlaq TUS will deliver religious discourses which will be attended by lakhs of followers, coming from all parts of the world and also from the tiniest villages in India. Mumineen will benefit from the teachings of Quran and Ahl Bait and mourn the brutal killing of Imam Hussain AS and his family.

Yes, you guessed it right, these pictures & videos are of Arbaeen Walk from Najaf to Karbala. It is the World’s Largest Annual Peaceful Gathering with 30 million plus zayereen from around the world gathered to mark the 40th day of shahadat of Imam Hussain AS. If you have ever been blessed to visit Najaf e Ashraf and Karbala during Arbaeen and you have been fortunate to walk from Najaf to Karbala, you may be well accustomed to the pictures because, they are a very common sight then.
What are the Iraqis doing which is worth a mention?
Iraq economy is shattered since the US invasion in year 2003 and there has been no stable government of the state since then. 15 years since then, scores of people have been killed in terrorist attacks, civil war and other crimes. Then, on the other hand, 30 million people are known to visit the country every year for Arbaeen, so THEY HAVE A BRILLIANT OPPORTUNITY. Local businesses have a chance to prosper and make a great buck all the way to Karbala which is an 80 km walk. Iraqis can provide hundreds of services to these zayereen and make a living enough for a full year.
BUT THEY DONT.
Instead, everything from transportation from borders of Iraq to Najaf and many other destinations are provided free of cost. Shelters for sleeping, living, blankets, pillows, food, water, clothes, toiletries and everything needed for their stay is provided free of cost. Widowed women are preparing food in their mud/brick houses and their children distributes it to zayereen on their walk to Karbala, without collecting a penny. If you try to give them money, they feel offended. All they want is Imam Hussain AS and Rasulullah SAW’s happiness and acceptance, by way, of their khidmats. They BEG you for letting them a chance to polish your shoes, THEY BEG YOU TO TAKE SOMETHING FROM THEM, they kiss your feet before massaging them and washing them, they stand in your way pleasing you to allow them to give a massage and refreshments. Cobblers eagerly wait for a chance to stitch a Zayereen’s shoe. Children wait with fruits in a small vessel in your way offering you everything they have got. They are well aware that they may not be able to eat such fruits, sandwiches, biryanis and other nonveg delicacies during any other time of the year, but then also they just give. Homeless people of Iraq, who have nothing to give you but a free towel and tissue to dry your sweat and sprinkle you with some water so you do not feel tired. Mechanics close their shops and sit on the road, repairing wheelchairs, strollers and baby prams.
Businesses in Iraq sets up food counters, medical camps along the walking route, transport cars & buses, etc all provided at no cost, so the Zayereen can have an easy stay in Karbala. These days are the biggest Thanksgiving Festival of Middle East.
If the Iraqis were to charge the Zayereen for all these necessary services during the 40 days from shahadat of Imam Hussain AS, believe me, the Iraqi economy can come back on its feet again in a couple of years. So what are these people earning then?
KHUSHI OF IMAM HUSSAIN AS
Iraqis are showing the world, how much they value a Zayereen of Imam Hussain AS in their hearts. And how much faith they have in Imam Hussain AS to provide them sustenance throughout the year.
Now, coming to the point, INDORE, you invited Aqa Moula TUS to your city again and again for Ashara 1440 and your wish is fulfilled. MUMINEEN WILL COME. MUMINEEN will come shutting their houses and businesses – businesses small like a watch repairing shop or multi-million dollar factories, taking leaves from jobs or even resigning from jobs. MUMINEEN will come from the world over and from towns and cities hundreds of km far, to your city for 10 to 15 days during Ashara Mubaraka.
One of the main concerns, an AZADAAR OF IMAM HUSSAIN AS has during these days is Accommodation in the city in which AQA MOULA TUS will perform Noha Aweel.
Few questions to those Indorians brothers who haven’t understood what they stand to gain in the upcoming Ashara Mubaraka,
Q) Are you willing to profit from providing accommodation to Mumimeen?
Q) Will you be able to justify profits made from providing shelter to Mehmano who have come with the only intention of doing Imam Hussain’s Azadari with Aqa Moula TUS?
Q) Are you aware that many Mumineen who may not be able to afford accommodation, will not be willing to come for Imam Hussain AS azadaari with Aqa Moula TUS?
The situation in Iraq (for that matter any other country) shows us that the government cannot provide food & shelter for the massive numbers of Zayereen, it is the residents who must WILLINGLY ACCEPT IT AS THEIR RESPONSIBILITY. Similarly, it is practically very difficult for the Indore Jamaat to provide accommodation to all Mehmano, unless Mumineen of Indore City accept it as their responsibility towards Imam Hussain AS and Aqa Moula TUS. Mumineen have done ohbat for 40 days by hailing Labbaik Ya Hussain and will be present with Aqa Moula TUS for Imam Hussain’s azadaari wherever it may be.
BUT YOU HAVE GOT THIS CHANCE AFTER 17 YEARS OF WAIT, MAKE IT COUNT !!
As you may have understood, there is NO PROFIT OTHER THAN THE KHUSHI of Imam Hussain AS and his Dai Aqa Moula TUS, during the period of Ashara Mubaraka. And one may not need a big house to earn profits, only true love & faith in Imam Hussain AS is enough.

Its really amazing article i just want that remove particularly indore city… If we want to change the mindset of all… And if we want in next ashara all this doesn’t happen bcoz when take one name it hurt to good ppl belong to tht city and as we are not talking abt one place or one person… We are talking abt all of this circle of profit making should only be changed as… Its mention in article that if zaiyereen in karbala give iraqi any money against there khidmat they feel offended…. what ever is happening in Indore is because of some selfish and money minded people.
Jamiyat had kept every thing in place.
from last 3 months Burhani guards (Indore unit) and other Kidmat gujaar are on toes to serve the Azaadarey Hussain.
Then day Moula (TUS) had declared Ashar Mubarak in Indore, within no time i have got call from family to come and have a stay at there home with my family and friends.

I personally have been experiencing same thing not only on Ashara Miqaat but also when Huzur Aala “TUS” bestows visit to any cities for ex Mumbai or may it be any other cities.. What happens is people start giving homes on huge rent basis just to earn pannies but are they really earning? Are they not missing Barakat by taking currency in exchange?

Even if some people want to rent their homes or sell something of necessity to zuvaar I think it’s alright because Ashara Mubaraka does open doors of rozi for everyone, mumeneen as well as other ibaadullah but if someone is trying to capitalise on this event by selling something at unreasonable prices just to make a quick buck then it’s deplorable or if there are people who have blocked hotels and are now reselling their bookings at a premium then they will have to do some soul searching.

Very lucid and plain write up which says a lot in a few words. Ashara should either be observed in Karbala or at the feet of Aaqa Maula (TUS). Indore has got a golden opportunity. They have a track record of organising it earlier and another opportunity has come knocking at their door. Mubarak to all Indore walas. Insha Allah they will grab this opportunity to seek duaas which will last them in duniya & aakherat rather than running after a few pieces of silver which will run out one day. The decision is of the Indorewallas. I am confident that they have the nek taufiq of making the right choice. Afterall we are “vepaaris”. We always go for the higher profit.
